STEM2STEM:
Kids around the world sharing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math in their own backyard
What it is: Teachers connect with other teachers so their students can communicate with each other about the STEM in their everyday lives. The kids ask each other questions, share their own stories and pictures, and even provide items for this website.
What's the point? STEM is woven throughout everyone's lives around the world, but not everyone has the same experience. When we connect with each other and learn how we are the same and how we are different from people across the globe, we learn more about ourselves. We also learn how our issues and concerns are intertwined. Talking to each other is the first step in making a difference!
How it works: Teachers connect with other teachers through the STEM2STEM project to get their students talking to each other. The students observe STEM in their own lives and share their observations with students from another country. How they share their observations and where they go from there is up to the teacher.
